Red Key - the most powerful water source in Russia and the second in the world

Spring Lake Red Key

Krasny Klyuch is located on the left bank of the Ufa River, on the outskirts of the village of the same name. At this point, an underground river called Yaman-Yelga, or rather one of its underground arms, emerges to the surface. This part of the southern Urals is widely known for its many karst caves and craters. An underground river Yaman-Elga flows through one of these caves for approximately 60 kilometers, originating on the slopes of the Southern Urals. After 8 kilometers from the source, a mysterious river dives underground, where it flows in karst voids.

During the dive, divers found that the water enters the spring lake from two holes. The first is located at a depth of 20 meters, and the second is almost at the bottom, at a depth of 38 meters. The total depth of the lake is about 40 meters.
