The two countries are connected by a unique bridge. Just fantastic!

This unique design connects the Danish capital Copenhagen with the Swedish city of Malmo. The Öresund bridge, designed by Danish architect George Rotne, was opened on July 1, 2000. The bridge extends for about 8 km, and then, through an artificial island, passes into an underwater tunnel 4 km long.

The island is interesting both in terms of biology and architecture: more than 500 different plant species have been discovered here. The thing is that the island is built from material extracted from the seabed.
