Indian 10 years feeds 4000 parrots

62-year-old Sekar, who lives in the city of Chennai in India, has a very big and kind heart. For the past 10 years, he wakes up at 4 in the morning to cook rice for thousands of parrots that flock to his house every morning.

To feed his feathered friends, who eat about 60 kilograms of rice daily, a man has to spend about half of all his earnings. And his income is small. As a camera repairman, he earns just $ 18 a day.

On the roof of his terrace, Sekar built a feeder from wooden boards, where he puts cooked rice in heaps.

An amazing gathering of over 4 thousand green parrots, of course, could not go unnoticed, and soon not only birds began to gather at his house, but also a lot of tourists who wanted to witness this magnificent spectacle.

Despite the significant costs, this kind man assures that he intends to feed his charming "pets" until the end of his days.

And this story began in 2004, when the city was seriously damaged during the tsunami that took place here. It was then that a pair of parrots flew to Sekar's house. Pitying them, he began to give them food, but over time, the number of people who wanted to eat became more and more, and today has exceeded 4 thousand.

Sometimes an Indian has to not only feed handsome birds, but also take care of the sick. So it turns out that the whole life of this amazing person now revolves around parrots.
