New French law allows any Parisian to set up gardens in their home

Paris is often on the list of the most beautiful cities in the world, but now it seems that it will become even more beautiful. Not so long ago, a new law was adopted in France, which not only allows, but even strongly recommends that Parisians acquire their own city gardens.

Now residents of the most romantic city in the world can obtain permission to grow vegetables, fruits, flowers and other plants. According to the bill, caring for these gardens is allowed only with the help of certain methods that do not involve the use of pesticides. In addition, the Paris authorities promise to provide each newly minted gardener with a “planting kit,” including seeds and topsoils.

This initiative is part of Mayor Ann Hidalgo’s plan to add 100 hectares of green space to the city by 2020.
